A free Valentine-themed Creative Kids session is being hosted by Cumbernauld Family Hub this mid-term school break, with local families encouraged to come along and join in a morning of fun, imagination and innovation.
Creative Kids, a unique arts and craft session which encourages children and parents / caregivers to bond through getting creative together, will take place on Thursday 13 February 2020 from 10.30am-12.00noon at Cornerstone House Centre (1 Esk Walk, Town Centre, G67 1BZ).
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, attending children will have the opportunity to be supported to make a range of decorative items on the day, including a pop-up Valentine’s Day card, a decorative heart, a ‘scratch art’ heart and a framed picture. All necessary materials and resources will be provided by session facilitators, with other general arts activities such as colouring-in also available.
Suitable for family members of all ages, the session provides an ideal opportunity to meet other parents and children from the Cumbernauld area in a safe, friendly and supported environment. Additionally, Cornerstone Café is on-site within Cornerstone House Centre, with a selection of snacks and lunches available for those looking to refresh their energy after a morning of arts and crafts.
So, with cold and sleety weather forecast during the school break, why not let your family warm-up for Valentine’s Day by participating in the fun of Creative Kids this Thursday? An open invitation is extended to all, including those who have never previously attended a Cumbernauld Family Hub event.
Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, Creative Kids is an activity of the popular and established Cumbernauld Family Hub.
