Cornerstone House Centre is delighted to announce it has signed up as a Disability Confident Committed employer with a view to making the most of the talents that those with disabilities can bring to the organisation.
Disability Confident is a UK Government scheme designed to help employers recruit and retain disabled people and people with health conditions. Organisations that are Disability Confident registered play a leading role in changing attitudes about disabled people in employment for the better. We already have a diverse and talented team of staff and volunteers, and becoming Disability Confident Committed further reaffirms the organisation’s long-standing commitment to being fully inclusive and reducing inequalities.
“As part of our commitment, we aim to provide work trial, student placement, job shadowing and paid employment opportunities to local people with physical disabilities, long term conditions and mental health challenges.”
