The charity managing one of Cumbernauld’s busiest town centre resources is actively encouraging local people and organisations to benefit from its multi-purpose facilities over the coming year.
Cornerstone House, a large modern community premise based in Esk Walk, is utilised every day of the year by local groups and people for meetings, pursuing interests, sharing experiences, learning together, doing business, supporting children and families and generally for good causes and purposes.
The community-owned facility has become an established, popular and contemporary meeting place for the Cumbernauld community in recent years. During the last twelve months, there have been over 40,000 individual visits to the premises. Facilitating organisation Cornerstone House Centre is keen for even more community groups, third sector organisations, social enterprises, businesses, public sector agencies and local people to access and benefit from the building during 2020.
The largest amenity in Cornerstone House is an adaptable Conference Hall which can be utilised for various purposes including training, meetings, fairs, community events, trading and much more. The Centre also contains a modern ICT and Soft Skills Suite, several large and small meeting rooms suitable for one-to-one meetings, group meetings and weekly activities, and office facilities which can be employed as a permanent or outreach base for local organisations. A full overview of facilities available and pricing can be accessed by clicking here.
The new year promises to be an exciting one at Cornerstone House, with a wide range of regular activities already scheduled including community meetings, dance and exercise classes, health and lifestyle events, conferences, and ICT and personal development training, amongst others. The Conference Hall can accommodate up to 500 guests and is ideal for large one-off events and gatherings.
There is always a real buzz of positive vibes and energy around Cornerstone House, and The Centre would be delighted to welcome any new groups or organisations to join its expanding family this year. Its central town centre location, ease of access for parking and public transport and capacity to host several activities at once make it an ideal venue for many groups to set up base.
Visitors to Cornerstone House can also sample the breakfasts, lunches, snacks, refreshments and takeaways of Cornerstone Café, which is open Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 3.30pm. Cornerstone House is also home to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, a community-based church organisation.
